Ashlen Udell has her New Jersey teacher certification in Dance Education from Montclair State University. She has studied at The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in NYC, the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan as a moderne dance major, and has completed master classes with many professional dance companies including Trisha Brown, Pilobolous, and Freespace Dance.
Currently she is on staff at Jo-Ann’s Dance studio where she teaches ballet, moderne, and pointe. She also holds her Doctorate in Music Education from Rutgers University, where she studied the connection of music and movement through Laban Movement Anaylsis and conducting. Ashlen is excited to bring her skills to Vertical Freedom where she has taught choreography, barre, pound, and our kids classes.
